Приток капитала
Вливание денежных средств в экономику страны из-за границы в результате покупки в этой стране ценных бумаг и физических активов иностранными физическими и юридическими лицами, а также в результате заимствования иностранного капитала своими гражданами и местными компаниями. Существует множество причин перемещения капиталов из страны в страну: прямые зарубежные инвестиции (см. Foreign direct investment) транснациональных компаний в физические активы, например, в строительство промышленных предприятий за рубежом, покупка в других странах ценных бумаг, которые считаются выгодными портфельными инвестициями, государственные займы за рубежом с целью регулирования дефицита платежного баланса, спекуляции на валютном рынке.
